Knowledge has little to do with success in life
but Wisdom wins the day..
in my opinion.. and that only comes through experience
THROUGH the hard knocks of life FOR THE WIN.. FTW…

there is the rule to make good grades
and people who make the grades easy..
can definitely bring scorn from others
who have to work so hard to even get passing grades…
However.. the more different folks are from the perceived norm..
NO MATTER WHAT THAT DIFFERENCE MAY BE..
the more they are going to get bullied either and or
verbally.. physically.. and passive aggressively…
Different brings scorn..
both when it is perceived
as advantageous and disadvantage…
It takes resilience to be different and survive…
And that’s where wisdom can come in later for success..
if a person can keep from becoming a bully
himself or herself
per either an intellectual bully or a social bully…
To treat ANYONE UNFAIRLY is never wisdom…

Well, to be perfectly honest I’ve been bullied more for my intelligence on this site, than anywhere else; in failed attempts, anyway, and there are reams of evidence of that still documented on this website.
And no, it’s not because it’s low intelligence either. It just goes way over the head of some folks.
So yes, in a way you are correct, but no, the jocks in the world are not jealous of that as they are secure in themselves, for the most part.
Some folks just like to toy with folks too, to pass the time, and yes, there are quite a few jocks that are leaning toward the psychopath checklist as well. 🙂
But science does now show in studies that folks on the spectrum with symptoms of ADHD who have been bullied in life by others are more likely to bully others in someway, either intellectual or otherwise, depending on what their MO of bullying is, per greater than the general population.
People who bully are most often victims themselves and this applies to all parts of the general population.
The reason the statistics bear it out for the spectrum is simply cause folks are bullied more, and that is the standard math of bullying as what comes around does tend to go around, except for folks who RISE ABOVE IT.

Well, no doubt that happens as people can easily feel inferior when one does better if they are not secure in themselves.
I’ve never felt that way per STANDARD intelligence, so it matters not to me, but yes, I can understand how other folks may be bothered by it.
It’s just human nature, and nothing serious, unless folks are harmed.
BUT truly often folks with very high standard intelligence are functionally disabled in emotional intelligence and this is what they are more often bullied about or even per the non-verbal language of disdain. But no, that part is certainly NOT jealousy.

Well, it’s much more complicated than that as science now shows that physical intelligence is responsible for emotional and sensory integration by way of the cerebellum.
Yes, science now shows that physical driven emotional intelligence is real REQUIRED INTELLIGENCE for success in life, and even survival in the long run.
All human reason by core is emoted by emotion and sensory integration is a requirement to navigate the world in synch per balance.
People who do not move and increase their physical intelligence all through life, can become functionally disabled both in emotional and sensory integration.
Yes, science is finally understanding what Eastern Philosophies have understood for thousands of years in arts of movement/physical intelligence like Yoga AND TAI as healing arts as emotional dis-regulation is a core issue that underlies stress.
And simply put, stress kills, and science now shows conclusively that it does and how it happens damaging all major body systems per stress hormones of a body AND MIND that no longer controls emotional regulation through balanced movement.
Interestingly, some of the newest therapies for Autism are in movement and increasing physical intelligence, as this environmental factor may be a major contributing factor to functionally disabling factors of physical and emotional intelligence and sensory integration.
Use it or lose it does apply and the sports folks are increasing their full intelligence as science now shows that even after a one hour exercise session standard IQ points can go up around 10 percent as exercise increases human focus of mind.
Emotions integrate memory as well, and a deficit in emotional intelligence means dysfunction in executive functioning too, at least in part.
Truly I’ve ‘healed’ all the major parts of my physical and emotional intelligence deficits simply through the art of physical intelligence per dance, martial arts and a life spent living in a TAI CHI way of overall movement.
After all it is what our ancestors naturally did as foragers, so Mother Nature true rewards us for what has worked for hundreds of thousand of years.
And to fool Mother Nature FALSE by not following human nature is to pay a consequence, as science does now show in the evidence that does now exist.
WILL PEOPLE LISTEN TO THIS SCIENCE AND MAKE A CHANGE.
NOT likely as people who are not proficient in physical and emotional intelligence AND SENSORY INTEGRATION overall cannot handle change.
So it’s kind of a catch 22, and ‘we’ CAN EXPECT rates of Autism Spectrum Disorders to continue to increase as the mechanical cognition part of the brain is used to the exclusion of the social and empathy part of cognition driven by physical intelligence and the cerebellum in the brain, per sitting behind machines statically and in effect and affect becoming the machines instead of MORE FULLY HUMAN, AS WE ARE EVOLVED TO BE.

Actually, there are many similarities that humans share with Bonobos that both separate species do not share with chimpanzees or any other primate, for that matter.
Bonobos share a similar empathy gene as human beings as well as related empathy brain structures and are much more peaceful than the chimpanzee in their simple matriarchal ways of culture, including using sexual pleasure to reduce instead of enhance violence, as compared to all other primates including some humans, at least, it appears who are the exception rather than the common rule per innate human behavior. 🙂
They are the only primates to share similar sexual behavior to humans as well per face to face sexual interaction.
But anyway here is a full documentary on Bonobos that is changing the way humans look at themselves as well, in science, at least.
And yes, overall both chimpanzees and bonobos in approximate DNA similarity share about 98 percent with human beings, but the differences in the empathy DNA and empathy related brain structures, do set the chimpanzee and bonobo apart as very different primate species, in true effect and affect of general behavior, and culture as well.

Sorry Ana, I failed to provide a detailed definition of what Emotional Intelligence is.
For starters on the actual test that is available on line, when I was a shut-in and terrified of socializing with people I scored around a 55 on the EQ test, and for all practical intents and purposes I was a verified SLOW person with Emotional Intelligence.
AS OF a year ago, I score a 95 so I now, per that empirical measure, EXCEL IN EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE, AND TRULY I no longer feel like I am operating on half a brain for metaphor.
My problem then was EXTREME affective empathy per emotional contagion that I experienced around a group of stressed out folks, like Wal-Mart, AND IT was if I was FEELING ALL THEIR EMOTIONAL PAIN at one time.
So my issue was TOO MUCH AFFECTIVE EMPATHY and I have struggled with this over the course of my lifetime as a person who was born, basically as A REAL LIFE EMPATH.
WHAT ALSO CAN HAPPEN, for the ‘empaths’ of the world, is eventually their brain gets burned out BY THE EXTREME NATURE OF THEIR AFFECTIVE EMPATHY and they can no long feel any affective empathy at all.
And YES, I’VE ALSO experienced this and both scenarios are the cause of human suffering and deficits in the ability to reciprocally socially communicate, aka Autism in some cases, per the spectrum, still, as is.
Now the problem with Bullies, Malignant Narcissists and those of the Socio-path personality disorder flavor, is they are lacking AFFECTIVE EMPATHY AND DO not feel THE PROSOCIAL EMOTIONS OF regret and or shame when they harm their fellow human beings on purpose, just to see them squirm with psychological or physical pain.
So in AFFECT THESE FOLKS ARE ALSO SLOW ON EQ, AS EVEN IF they have normal or high cognitive empathy in understanding how other folks tick, they still only have ‘half a brain’ of the Emotional Intelligence required for peaceful social interaction with their fellow humans beings, resulting in the type of social cooperation that we as BALANCED HUMAN BEINGS are evolved for as a whole, for any chance at long term SURVIVAL AS WE STAND NOW IN NUMBERS OF OVER 7 BILLION HUMANS WHO ARE CURRENTLY also dominating the earth.
And there is another emotional intelligence that is not measured by current Internet tests, as far as I know, and that is the EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE OF CONNECTION WITH the rest of Mother Nature that is the common sense that if we do not live in balance with Mother Nature and our evolved human nature, we are truly F-ING up.
And yes, truly again, this is a great cause of human suffering, both for the recipients of folks who are harmed by folks who either lack cognitive empathy and or affective empathy per emotional intelligence as well as the folks who have an imbalance in either types of empathy and do suffer in psychological distress from only having half a heart, per either FEELING OR EXPRESSING APPROPRIATE EMPATHY FOR others.
Love (THE UNCONDITIONAL HUMAN TYPE FOR ALL OTHERS) is the prize, and the GREATEST HUMAN POWER, and as far as human beings go, it is the driving SOURCE OF ALL OUR SOCIAL COOPERATION SUCCESS, YES, IN all the byproducts of culture we see around us.
Without SOCIAL COOPERATION, THESE HUMAN ARTIFACTS OF CULTURE WOULD NOT EXIST.
AND THAT’S JUST ANOTHER PHRASE FOR EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE PER SOCIAL COOPERATION.
SO YES, EQ IS PRICELESS AND NECESSARY FOR HUMAN SURVIVAL, AT COPIOUS BALANCED AMOUNTS.

YES IT is instinctive behavior as it is innate and not learned through the Environment.
But sadly as it stands, our culture has so much NOISE, THAT PEOPLE often become separated from their human instincts and SUFFER as a result, as it is a built in tool to use, not to avoid.
Mother Nature knows best.

There is an issue with this for all people who deviate from the social norm, and that varies greatly depending on the nature of the work that is being done, or living in general wherever the norms of culture change.
AS far as this being an issue specific to a diagnostic label, no, as there are not very many so-called lower functioning autistic folks out there doing jobs in the wild that are not part of a program for the disabled who are not protected from this type of discriminatory behavior.
And as far as higher functioning Autistic folks of the Asperger’s variety, people in general do not even understand what the hell that is, overall, STILL, per specific diagnostic criteria FROM THE PAST, per DSMIV criteria, AND THEY NEVER WILL KNOW NOW, AS THAT CATEGORY IS GONE FROM DSM5 DIAGNOSTIC CRITERIA NOW.
AND even IF a very intelligent well versed diagnostic criteria person on the street or medical professional attempts to explain it to them PER OLDER DIAGNOSTIC CRITERIA THAT delineates the DIFFERENCES BETTER THAN THE LOOSELY described diagnostic criteria now, by the TIME THEY LEAVE WITH ALL THE FACTS ABOUT EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE, which is gibberish to folks who already have it LOCKED IN INNATELY, THEY SOON FORGET, if they ever understand it in the first place, AS IT MATTERS NOT TO THEM, unless a close friend or family member is DIRECTLY impacted, overall.
Again overall, as there are exceptions, but for most people the higher functioning Autism thingy is equivalent to a nerd, and that is a common cultural meme for almost a century now.
And yes nerds AND so called HIGHER FUNCTIONING Autistic folks AND ANYONE ELSE who is substantially different from the perceived social-norm have trouble not GETTING DISCRIMINATED AGAINST BY THE ‘COOL KIDS’ WHETHER IT IS AT SCHOOL OR CONTINUING ACROSS THE LIFESPAN AT WORK AND PLAY TOO.
Humans discriminate against what they perceive as innately or culturally different per the social norm.
This is human nature, and although laws attempt to regulate this behavior, MOTHER and human nature does still rule, behind closed doors WITH the crowd that IS IN CONTROL.
THE REALITY OF LIFE, is adapt and survive or the other thingy in all its difficult degrees of reality as well.
And yes it is so dam sad and unfortunate but it is Human Nature and Mother Nature True.
Nice to complain about it for support but LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO CHANGE IN TRUTH IN REALITY IN ANY OTHER WAY, BUT ADAPTING TO WHAT IS.

Replace the 7 letter word Atheism with GOD and you’ve got the same general ideology/creature, as a social bonding monster or friend, depending on how much others are harmed in the process of this fascinating aspect of human and cultural nature.
And yes, people are bullied here horrifically in the past for believing in the ‘GOD’ of ‘GOD’ instead of the ‘GOD’ of ‘Atheism’ but not so much anymore as the moderators are staying neutral in this ‘dog or god fight’.
And yes, with a little time I could do a study from the record here that exists and PROVE THAT EMPIRICALLY.
THE ATHEISTS HERE have always suggested they were the majority INCLUDING AT LEAST some of the moderators.
But, even when they were in their hay day, of strident atheist club way, Boston University did a peer reviewed study that showed that only 26 percent of the participants in this forum were actually Atheists. All others at least entertained the possibility of GOD and or a higher force of spirituality.
Now that the moderation team is neutral it probably comes close to equating to the control group on the other so-called NT site that was used that showed a Atheist percentage of 17 percent there.
They did not factor in that moderator bias in the study, so yes, in that way, the Boston University study was flawed.

I have close to a photographic memory for words and I read 10 to 15 times faster than the average human being per my hyperlexic form of Autism, so I am in the know, in this ‘SPECIAL’ way, and perhaps I have an unfair advantage, but that’s what ‘Autistic Super powers’ are for, I guess, as I certainly suffered with the EFFECTIVE output of verbal speech in real life for decades as well, per disadvantage, that I have overcome now, in real life too. 🙂

Oh, and by the way, when I was in school it used to upset me that folks would not pick me for their group sports teams. I was always chosen last with a grimace on the face of those who were doing the choosing.
Yes, team sports was not my forte.
I ended analyzing way too many things all at one time, to have focus to get the TEAM SPORTING job properly done.
With tennis and racquetball I and the ball became one, and blasted the opponent away, in lightning fast curved serves.
But anyway, what I learned from that experience is I TOO CAN CHOOSE NOT TO PLAY ON ANYONE’S TEAM.
WOW, WHAT AN ELEGANT LESSON AND SOLUTION THAT WAS, FOR TRUE HUMAN FREEDOM, EVEN BEYOND WHAT IS IN OUR NATURE, AS CHILDREN OF MOTHER NATURE TRUE AKA GOD 2.

If the Republicans rule the house, senate, judicial, and executive branches of Government, possibly not.
If the Democrats do, a resounding yes, as they are for ALL immigrants still for a melting pot of culture.
However, if they (aliens from space) carry diseases that humans cannot gain immunity for that may kill them off, all bets are off.

Yes, society is an experiment and humans are the guinea pigs, unwittingly so for most human beings.
And yes, in some cases folks on the spectrum are the canaries in the coalmine.
And yes, after 47 years of being poisoned in the mine, I almost died, but after 5 years, I finally lived again.
And the main lesson I learned is I am only human and not a machine, but truly that is the way I treated my self as a machine with little to no empathy for self, with all EMPATHY directed to helping others instead.
I learned my lesson well, and that IS TO SAY NO, AS NO LONGER A PEOPLE PLEASER, overall, PER WHAT FOLKS THINK I SHOULD DO.
BUT OBVIOUSLY, BEING financiAlly independent at age 54 in almost miraculous fashion as I only had 1K in the bank in the year 2000, is a privilege that most people DO NOT have at this age, and particularly folks on the spectrum who ARE STILL living at home with parents.
And without great fortune in landing in a niche of work that lasted over two decades in the same general government field of civil service work, I might still be living at home too, if my mother still had one, but she doesn’t living in old folks housing so I TRULY MIGHT BE ON THE STREET.
AND ANYONE on the spectrum who SAYS THERE IS NO WAY they’ll ever burn out like this and hates government programs that help folks, is truly shooting themselves in the foot, as I was referred to as SUPER MAN at work for brain associated accomplishments, but it didn’t matter as I still wore out, as humans beings truly are not machines and will BREAK IN THE COAL MINES OF LIFE, PARTICULARLY ON THE SPECTRUM FOR FOLKS THAT GO FULL BORE ALL THE TIME IN LASER FOCUS.

If you check out my latest blog post here, it IS all about being a dork, being bullied, and OTHER FACTORS RELATED TO that associated SAD REAL LIFE phenomenon, AS MOST people see it, whether they admit it or not.
And it was, in part, inspired by communication on this website.
AT AGE 13, I looked more like a dork than any photo I have seen of anyone on this website, and I have the photo that proves it, conclusively, in that linked blog post.
And yes, I hated it too, and by GOD I pulled myself up into what twenty-something year old females and MALES LITERALLY NOW call a hero or legend when I go to dance with hundreds of 20 something year old girls in TOTAL IN the last 35 weeks, all in a row, except for one week with an intestinal virus; not good for RAVE DANCING, ha-ha.
When I was in my teens and 20’s I had to drink a whole 6 pack of beer just to get the nerve up to go into a DANCE bar and be a wallflower way in the background somewhere FEELING totally out of place.
Now I literally lead the dance solo, IN ONE OF THE RATED TOP 100 DANCE CLUBS IN THE U.S., until other folks get the courage to come dance with me.
And they do.
And just for fun, in my next blog post I am going to include the 100 or so girls that have taken selfies with me, in at least 30 or 40 photos, for more conclusive evidence of my success in accommodating extreme challenge in life and what THE REAL LIFE RESULTS ARE.
DANCING with a hundred gorgeous AND OR SO CALLED plain looking girls is like a miracle for me, particularly if you see the dork picture from 1973.
And if anyone here says it’s not a big deal, and they are heterosexual, overall, I do not believe ’em for one second, as ‘we’ do want attention from the opposite sex, even when ‘we’ are married for almost 25 years like me, overall, at age 54, but of course there are exceptions to every generality in life.

I proved them wrong, and when I see them all potbellied, saggy eyed and BORED OR ALL STRESSED OUT ABOUT LIFE in the buffet line and they ask WTF, you and your wife never grow older, I just smile and say, we take care of ourselves, but it is much more than that, as my wife doesn’t have to do anything with her indigenous closer to wild PACIFIC ISLANDER genetics BUT..
With the human Northern European domesticated genes I have, I had to almost literally move mountains, to become a mountain of a man myself, metaphorically speaking, of course. 🙂
And this epigenetic and neuroplastic advantage goes throughout life.
I could ‘only’ lift up to 480 LBS on a Nautilus parallel leg press weight machine up until age 53.

Well, we have to remember that human beings, while sharing much of the same DNA with rats are still not rats and have neocortical control for remembering the past as well as forecasting the future with rational analysis.
And in addition, most humans innately have supercharged DNA and associated brain structures for both cognitive and affective empathy.
We cannot talk to rats but we do know that rats use their sense of smell to navigate the world in much more of a dependent way than versatile human being who can even use imagination to navigate worlds they create.
And as with the evolution of these attribute and detriments in true affect and effect for human beings likely comes much more complex ways of genetic memory.
The rat (mouse) study reports that there is an overall mechanism of genetic memory in play for one of our genetic cousins and ancestors 75 million years ago, overall, as well.
It will be potentially decades before much more is known about human beings, as this is an extremely complex and limited area for study for reasons of ethics per studying human beings.
While wisdom is not always appreciated as a valuable asset among narrow minds, it is cherished among those who have open minds.

It’s against BASIC CLASSICALLY EVOLVED human nature, and that’s where the crap starts, similar to any other animal population that is stressed because of overpopulation.

As this thread shows and every thread to date shows on this similar topic and almost every other topic, folks on the spectrum are JUST AS DIVERSE WITHIN THE SPECTRUM AS THEY ARE in some imaginary gray area of so called NT VS Autism Spectrum folks.
And beyond that science shows 10 to 15 percent of the general population shares similar Autistic like traits in a broader Autism Phenotype and potentially up to 30 percent of the population with at least one trait, and of course research shows that genetic associations are spread out through the general population as well.
There is no REALISTIC way to do this, and every time it comes up there are almost an infinite number of exclusions that will make A person say HELL NO I am not going to do it, unless you do it my way.
Well, I for one am perfectly satisfied with the freedoms I have in the GOOD OLE USA AS IS, AS I CAN DO INCREDIBLY NEURODIVERSE STUFF AGAINST THE REGULAR SOCIAL NORM, TOTALLY legally and PROTECTED BY THE LAW.
I CAN USE MY ADA ACCOMMODATION FOR REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION TO DANCE walk a style of martial arts and ballet almost everywhere I go, per the general public, by just going to general management AND ASSERTING MY RIGHTS AS U.S. CITIZEN FOR REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION, PER ‘AUTISTIC STIMMING RIGHTS’, AND I also use my spinal stenosis, CONGENITALLY fused T-6 vertebrae, and severe SPINAL degenerative arthritis as another REASON MANAGEMENT MUST GIVE ME LEGAL AND AUTHORIZED REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION.
And on top of that the young folks love it, and video tape me everywhere I go, making me so-called famous on Facebook in their words NOT MINE, AS I DON’T GIVE A CRAP ABOUT BEING FAMOUS, as it just frigging feels good and takes away ALL THE PAIN AND DISCOMFORT IF I DIDN’T GET TO STIM AND DANCE THIS WAY.

The problem with our culture is in public schools it does not teach emotional or physical holistic intelligence per innate human balance.
It leaves that up to the significant others per family way, and they for the most part are lost as well.
Without a balance of emotional and physical holistic intelligence, there is no control of mind, as it is all connected and other ideas, per mechanical cognition ways only is simply illusion and a likely path for human suffering.
The machine that is now culture is making humans into something that truly they are not in mind and body innate ONENESS of way.
Humans are not here to dominate the world; they are here for balance just like any other species, overall.
To abuse that privilege of being alive is to abuse future life, and possibly eventually end one’s own species as well.
But people don’t think that far ahead, and generally speaking are not evolved to do that, or abuse the earth as whole.
Culture is the virus, and not human being, when balanced.
Finding balance is the eye of the needle and one huge overweight camel in modern western ways of culture for sure.
And the cultural infrastructure lives on as cold machine way, with no heart to speak of for TRULY LIVING LIFE IN SIMPLY ANIMAL HOMEOSTASIS WAY.
OTHER ANIMALS, OVERALL, ARE ALREADY THE SILENT AND HUMBLE VICTOR, AS they don’t have to know it or speak it.
