back to freedom and all of that..

Private stores are required by law

to

allow reasonable accommodation

under the

ADA

and

required by law

to allow folks

to reasonably practice the

customs of their religion

like Muslim head dress

and such as that..

And i doing my

DANCE WALKING

IN APPROXIMATELY

50 STORES

FOR OVER 1400

MILES

NOW..

Since September 2013..

definitely encounter

some folks

trying to dissuade me from doing this..

in snide looks…

and a few store officials that don’t understand

US

rights as such..

for

FULL FREEDOM

OF PARTICIPATING

HERE

AS US

CITIZENS…

Well..

all my roadblocks to be free

are resolved

except for one place..

CORDOVA MALL..

PENSACOLA..FL..

Where on December 21st

2013

the Operations manager

there

told me i could

not do it in areas where folks

were not walking

as

i do it this way anyway..

where crowded areas are..

as to not make anyone too uncomfortable..

in the ‘uncanny’ sense..

if ya will..

in seeing a human doing something..

new they haven’t seen

before…

After that..

i limit my dancing in that mall

to the extreme..

only doing it

in isolated halls

leading outside the store

and areas where hardly anyone

walks..

And last Wednesday..

security tells me

REVERSE WALKING OF ANY KIND

IS TOTALLY

DISALLOWED

NOW

IN THE WHOLE MALL..

Well..

okay..

it’s their mall not mine..

i comply and ask if it is

OK..

just to sway my hips and arms a little.

to make my center of gravity lower at my hips..

instead of structurally compromised

area..

at my spine as such..

and security tells me..

ya’ll have to speak

to mall management

to get authority to sway..

i’m thinking

OMG..!

this is kinda

REALLY CRAZY..!

BUT NEVER THE LESS..

i am a law abiding citizen

so i let him take me to

his leader…

And when i arrive..

i tell the mall manager all

about IT..

kinda like this..

Except at the end i forget to

ask him if i can sway my hips and arms..

in walking in the mall..

i go back quickly and ask that

question that the head of store

security

says..

only MALL MANAGEMENT CAN ANSWER..

AND

THE MALL MANAGER AT FIRST

SAYS YES..

BUT HIS SECURITY

MANAGER..

CONVINCES HIM

TO SAY NO..

Well at this point..

they finally broke my anger point..

and i tell ’em

this is too much..

i may seek legal assistance

from the

provisions provided as such

through

the

ADA

again..

THE

AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES

ACT..

TO PROTECT FOLKS

IN SITUATIONS

JUST LIKE THIS..

There are plenty of other stores i can

do this in and simply ignore

CORDOVA MALL..

BUT IT AIN’T JUST ABOUT ME..

IT’S ABOUT OTHER FOLKS

WITH SEEMINGLY

INVISIBLE DISABILITIES..

AS YES..!
