Yes.. definitely Bill, as when I was a middle schooler i was Artistic And smiled a lot.. until my red state patriarchal school mate peers convinced me it was queer and queer was a bad thing too..
So I stick my tongue out at them now..

Oh my gosh.. and compared to how life extinguishing and limiting it was where I grew up.. and truly scientifically so.. still is.. as a recent study shows the place where i do most of my dance walking antics.. Pensacola, FL.. IS the toughest city environment for those who think different and choose to express themselves differently from the heard of herd.. per the evolved hipster meme from the hippy of the Beatle’s 60’s…

The reason for it in my area in my specific home base locality.. is once it is in the Guinness Book of World Records for the most churches per square mile.. most of which are extremely fundamentalist restricted thinking.. and there are three military bases located around the metro area.. where the rigid disciplined way of mechanical cognition of the military often rules over the creative HEart of empathy and emotion….
Truly i am raised in a Town that often resembles the town of the classic movie FOOTLOOSE.. and I am still believe it or not.. trying to convince SOME people.. buy living example and potential role model.. that it is not evil and the work of the devil to shine with dance….
Yup.. per illustration of the video.. where i live.. the Zombie walk and funeral face is a common element of reality.. and I do use the poker face where I dance walk instead of the manic happy face.. that might cause alarm.. considering the level of emotion expressed from all my body parts.. in my sometimes manic dance walk of life.. as art to express to all others in public life…..
There ain’t no HUMAN renaissance where I live.. at least.. NOT yet.. 🙂

To repress any of the True GOD of Mother Nature in our Nature at core as human beings.. which is sharing.. loving.. sensuality.. and creative expression in foraging for subsistence IN INNATE INSTINCTUAL INTUITIVE life.. is to surely invite LITERAL human hell into overall.. what IS INSTINCTUALLY EVOLVED.. AS The potential for freedom of creativity.. and simple human balance in animal homeostasis as well..
A state of bliss that almost all animals regularly ‘enjoy’ between the hunt and fight for life…
The only way to potentially enjoy it.. is to get away from life as a cog in a machine… per my personal view of a 30 something year work life experience….

The more repression.. oppression.. and subjugation of human natural freedoms.. through illusory fears.. particularly the free expression of human emotions.. sensuality.. and sexuality.. the more violence one sees in a society.. and yes.. that is clear to see in the more fundamentalist religious areas of the world.. regardless of what name is applied to the fundamentalist religion.. even if it has nothing to do with a GOD of sorts.. and is completely a secular ‘religion’ per culture.. like what ‘we’ currently see in Russia.. per the hunting down and killing of folks with different sexual orientations…
Holding back pro-social human nature..is the core spirit of fear.. aggression.. overall hate.. and yes.. killing violence too….
And i dance walk the walk life to be the change i want to see.. in all avenues i currently find.. as with new tread on my tires..

It is the greatest feeling and while it feels good to be extremely healthy.. it’s kind of sad that I had to develop the physical abilities of a pro-athlete in dance and a Kung FU martial artist skill in potential prowess of defense.. to be able to GET AWAY WITH IT.. IN ‘Footloose’ town..;)
But as mentioned in my comment above.. back to Bjorn.. I AIM TO BE THE CHANGE i want to see in society and I JUST DO IT.. IN ALL AVENUES OF all ways I am currently capable of.. and will continue to do iT for FREE.. BOTH IN MONETARY WAYS.. AND WAYS OF SPIRIT..
AS i for one know now.. for sure.. that there is no price of money that can be put on the potential for my brothers and sisters to be free.. the way i can now….

Thank goodness we live in a world now.. that is large enough AND SMALL ENOUGH.. AT LEAST ONLINE.. for almost all artistic expression in all its ‘dirt’.. and polished ways of shine…

A major issue is with public education system in the U.S.
The focus remains on mechanical cognition, so humans can be good little COGS IN THE MACHINE to create the comforts of culture.
However, in doing so, without the truest fullest potential of physical intelligence the COGS are failing too, in human misery in ways of physical intelligence that science does now show drives the quantity and quality in/regulating human emotions, sensory integration, memory/executive functioning, and OVERALL HUMAN CREATIVITY AND PRODUCTIVITY, AS WELL.
A MAJOR INFLUENCING FACTOR ON THIS thingy called Autism is this environmental influence, however politically incorrect it may be to suggest that in a society that is always looking for a pill FOR A quick fix to everything.
A recent study suggested that that by the year 2025, half the children in the U.S. will be diagnosed with Autism, and all I can say about that is live and learn, and if common sense never rules again that does seem to be the general direction modern culture is going, with the influence of mechanical cognition over the physical intelligence that DOES DRIVE EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE, SENSORY INTEGRATION, EXECUTIVE FUNCTION/MEMORY, CREATIVITY, AND OVERALL PRODUCTIVITY IN HUMAN BEINGS.
MY diagnosing professional and therapists that helped me through the most disabling aspects of Autism ALL AGREE WITH ME, AND ARE THANKING ME FOR LEADING THEM, TO HELP THEIR OTHER PATIENTS WITH WHAT I HAVE LEARNED IN THE DANCE WALK OF LIFE.
THE PROBLEM with public school systems is that physical education, overall, has been science and not art. It bores the hell out of creativity in learning sports instead of learning movement in a creative free flowing instinctual, innate way, as our ancestors did foraging the hunt and the sharing of environmental ‘good’s for basic subsistence in life.
If only the science of physical education would allow all children to STIM free, physical intelligence, emotional intelligence, sensory integration, executive/function, AND CREATIVITY/PRODUCTIVITY COULD ONCE AGAIN flourish in true human health among humans instead of cogs of Zombie Robots walking a stiff way of lifeless life without the potential imagination and creativity for true innovation of fullest potential of human life.
I ‘cured’ THE MORE DIFFICULT issues OF RECIPROCAL SOCIAL COMMUNICATION AND MOTOR FUNCTIONING/EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING ISSUES OF my autism this way through remediation of symptoms, and all my MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS AGREE I AM THE ONE WHO IS CORRECT ON THIS ONE, AT LEAST.
AND BACK to physical education, at least where I live it is not even required after the 9th year of secondary school education.
Sitting STILL a hormone fueled human being all day in a room in seat without even the potential to move a body is SHEER HUMAN INSANITY AND THAT IS ALL per the most basic of human common sense.
THERE IS A HELL OF A LOT THE GOVERNMENT CAN DO TO IMPROVE THIS SITUATION, just at the level of public education, IF IT JUST GROWS SOME COMMON SENSE.
If not, there WILL BE CONSEQUENCES AS THERE IS NO FOOLING MOTHER NATURE OR HUMAN NATURE WHEN IT COMES TO THE ‘DANCE OF LIFE’, WHICH IS MOST DEFINITELY, AS SCIENCE NOW SHOWS, REQUIRED FOR ALMOST ALL AREAS OF HUMAN POTENTIAL and simple balance in enjoying life.

So weird to consider that the small minds, the repressed other-directed self-righteous arrogant religious & political pricks in this country still have so much power. This morning in Paris, 12 people died in a newspaper office for publishing cartoons of the prophet Mohammed. The hypocrisy & violence seems never ending, smearing the Koran with innocent blood. Between Korea hacking us, & Islamic extremists terrorizing us, & fundamentalist Christians manipulating us, & the 1% fat cats buying the fucking Congress with their lobbyists–I almost do not want to turn on CNN in the morning while drinking my tea; just watch the mock violence on the Cartoon Network, I guess. AND I COULDN’T IMAGINE A FEELING ANY BETTER THAN THAT!
And I for one am a totally monogamous individual no matter what kind of beautiful young ‘thing’ I meet out on the trail of dance..
And on top of that my wife at age 44 moving on into 45 in the next couple of months has never aged since the age of 19 when i first met her.. so perhaps she is too loved to age..;)
Her relatives don’t always believe that (monogamous thingy) when they see some of my dance photos.. with my dance partner girls..but the most valuable attribute that my wife has is trust in me.. in that way..
So.. she can flip me off all she wants.. when my freedom gets on her nerves as it does sometimes.. particularly when I ballet dance as she doesn’t think that ‘big guys’ like me should dance that way…
And on top of that i thought it was a little bit of a satire on the DIGIT OF ART…
THE FINGER IS ART TOO.. so i will let her proudly wave it at me.. whenever she likes..:)
And truly.. some of the looks I receive in’Footloose’ town.. make me giggle like hell inside in sarcasm sadness too.. as they truly know not what they do or what they could have if they just let loose in feat of foot.. heart.. soul.. and spirit.. with the TRUE GOD OF ALL THAT IS.. THE Problem with Dawkins and MANY fundamentalist religious folks is they cannot understand THE poetry OF THE EMOTION of human life.
Truly that is what the bible is, overall, a collection of folks expressing free verse poetry, as expressing creative human nuanced emotions do come in a creative spirit of mind that is the same dam metaphor as Holy Spirit, overall.
IN other words, all of Dawkins video, is a moot point, except for those who canNOt read any further than ‘skin deep’ per human metaphors for emotion in language, otherwise known as Poetry, AND IN THIS case both Dawkin’s and the Abrahamic religions narrow view of GOD.
He cannot possibly attempt to address the other commonly expressed definitions associated with a Pantheist GOD, as he knows clear as the nose on his face that GOD is REAL.
Semantic differences in language is truly the core of most human violence throughout history.
It is a tribal thingy that will take a great FORCE OF critical HUMAN conscious thinking and FEELING people to change IN EVERY arena of human communication THROUGH THE HUMAN HEART, as facts alone WITH SYSTEMIZING SCIENCE write books but do not motivate ACTION in the ‘REAL DANCE’ OF HUMAN LIFE, OVERALL.
That is PART OF why, where there is censorship OF FREEDOM OF HUMAN EXPRESSION IN church and state combined, in countries like those of the Middle East, terrorism is a way of life still, for some.
Censorship AGAINST the FREE expression of human emotion, sensuality, and sexuality is the root cause of most all human aggression and violence, as well as human suffering and general human misery, as it is directly related to chronic stress that is the number one current killer, at core, per modern human beings AND REDUCES POSITIVE pro-social emotions in human beings, per overall, satisfaction in life.
Large societies are NOT what humans are evolved to live in, per living comfortably in peace and balance, connecting to 150 to 200 sets, or so, of eyes, as studies in Europe Show.
And what results per accommodating THAT relatively NEW HUMAN PHENOMENON OF EXPERIENCE, IS a ‘bunch’ of human REAL ‘CULTURAL insanity’, to put it in brief metaphor.
MANY folks ‘these days’, DO NOT even understand the most basic elements of what it means to be human, to even get UP off their BUTTS, and move about during the sunlit day…
THAT IS one dark cave that I for one Thank the GOD of Mother Nature TRUE, every NOW that I am finAlly ‘smart enough’, ‘well enough’, and ‘understand IT WELL enough’, to get up and MOVE BABY MOVE! IN free verse style and not according to some else’s practice of life… 🙂
And yes, DANCE is general metaphor, for all of moving emotion ARTEd motivating life, and not just the fox trot, or whatever science of dance, one might think applies to the metaphor of THE DANCE OF HUMAN EMOTION AS HUMAN FLESH AND BLOOD ACT, INSTINCTUALLY, INTUITIVELY, IN total natural FREEDOM of human living in balance.

The greatest insanity with the current SCIENCE OF EXERCISE is treadmills, running, elliptical machines, bicycles, and even walking in straight lines as truly Einstein’s definition of Insanity as doing the same dam thing over and over and expecting a different outcome does apply to both human insanity, and human suffering/misery.
AS an exercise physiologist per degree major, any bio-mechanically human effort done over and over WILL EVENTUALLY RESULT IN HUMAN REPETITIVE movement ERGONOMIC PRODUCED CHRONIC INJURY, INCLUDING Arthritis, Tendonitis, Tension, Chronic Stress, and eventually, even potentially EARLIER death.
Science even shows now that running a marathon can produce similar damage to the heart as a minor heart attack.
Moving like our ancestors did in hunting and foraging to remain invisible to both predator and prey is the NATURAL AND COMMON SENSE WAY OF HUMAN MOVEMENT.
Unfortunately, humans, for the most part, no longer forage or hunt, and weapons, long ago, made the necessity of being invisible less a life or death scenario.
Creative movement that never stays the same, in moderate effort over long periods of time, is the true way to human health, and even healing the past repetitive injury issues that come with ‘rodent treadmill’ exercise ways of life….
I have absolutely no pain now; however, I am still diagnosed with severe degenerative osteoarthritis of the spine, as a early onset result of a congenitally fused T-6 vertebra in my neck, AND spinal stenosis.
The pain was completely disabling in every now of every now of potential human movement, until I naturally learned how to move in martial arts and ballet ways of movement by instinct and intuition, all natural, alone.
All I needed to do was move in a creative constantly changing full range of movement to become human again, and once again join a ‘tribe of dance’.
I started the whole thing by walking in reverse where one step at a time eventually provided the balance, agility, and strength to glide on terrestrial earth, where some folks literally NOW believe I AM wearing skates.
In a way, I’m truly a little bit like an earthbound Jonathan Living Seagull, in true metaphor of affect and effect….
My doctor laughed at me, at first, in disbelief, but that is what her text book ‘told her to do’, when I told her what finally worked, after 5 long years of failure, with her medical book assistance.
I on the other hand, learned from within, as every Yogi does, who lives all alone in the mountains without anyone telling them what to do.
And it worked, and I have the irrefutable evidence that shows it worked, at least for me.
And truly if I’m not really some kind of ‘Superman’, it should work for others too, as I am only a fragile human too, until the fullest of human potential is more fully realized through practice, practice, practice with both human instinct and intuition of truly moving life as ‘free verse poetry’ too. 🙂
But truly Eastern philosophies of medicine in movement have understood this principle of moving human leverage WITH gravity as a creative art, for thousands of years, and western science is just now catching up to WHY IT WORKS, AND THE FACT THAT IT DOES WORK, FOR THOSE who come to understand how to practice it, as truly a religion of sorts, in the most vital and healthy human way to connect to what I understand as GOD with the GRAVITY OF MOTHER NATURE TRUE, INSTEAD of fighting against it, with human misery, suffering, and a potential premature death.
So no, the way the west currently looks at exercise as science could potentially be worse, in full eventual effect and affect, than just sitting on the couch with a positive outlook on life.
Dancing ‘free verse poetry style dance’ WITH a positive attitude, as far as I am concerned, is the REAL LIFE TICKET TO REAL LIFE HUMAN HEAVEN, with a ‘little’ inspirational music added in to FUEL THE HIGHEST OF HUMAN POTENTIAL. 🙂
BUT that’s just my extremely experienced opinion, with a touch of Heath Science Education per college degree, and as an Athletic Director for a military installation to go alone with it.
The Athletic Director thingy, is all about the science of sports, and not much I agree with, except for an excellent tribal alternative to violent wars and other tribal human conflicts. 🙂
So yes, organized Sports are a POTENTIAL saving human grace, as well. 🙂
And the last thing the last kid picked on the sports teams in P.E. in school, was expected to be, IS A government employed Athletic Director at a Military Installation.
I’m still glad I never played football in school, as I’m sure I’d have some lasting chronic injuries, as most of my acquaintances who did play now have, and even a potential broken neck, in my case, per the inherent anomaly in my neck. 🙂
Yup, this is just another one of my many all encompassing special interests, at least for the moment. 😉
