religion has served this purpose well

particularly to exclude the potential for anarchy among the masses…
Religion continues to serve this purpose among the masses
where the social welfare state is not strong..
and there are few safety nets
when subsistence can no longer be gained…
All the great philosophers who went out on their own..
and escaped these language and culture centric ideas of religion..
went OUT ON similar paths to awakening and enlightenment
escaping the illusions of a culture and religion
designed for a way of life in concentrated population
that humans are simply not evolved to do…
One tale IS THAT of a philosopher known as Jesus
who went out into the desert
and found the GOD of Mother Nature True there.
One tale of a philosopher known as Buddha
renounced his riches
and wandered the country side
eventually ending up under a tree
and found the GOD of Mother Nature True there..
careful not to name GOD so GOD would not be idolized
and instead sought within
for A true path of enlightenment and awakening
back into human intuitive and instinctual
God given ways of ‘KNOWING’ AKA FAITH
AND TRUST IN MOTHER NATURE TRUE
TO GUIDE ONE THROUGH
THE DARKNESS and LIGHT OF LIFE…

who did serious research into the faults
and limitations of modern religions
as expressed now..
and came to agreement
with the tales of Buddha and Jesus
that GOD lives within us ONE AND SAME…
AND WE ARE CONNECTED
IN AN INTERDEPENDENT RELATIONSHIP
OF ALL THAT IS AKA MOTHER NATURE TRUE AKA GOD TOO…
THE MOST AMAZING AND HEART WARMING ‘THING’ IS..

Well, as I indicated Christianity in its modern form is much more screwed up than Christianity in its original form, gnostic or not.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist sitting in a MODERN ROMAN CATHOLIC mass, hearing about the inferiority of women as opposed to men both in spiritual teaching potential and in LOVE INSTEAD OF FEAR of GOD to figure that one out.
GNOSTIC GOSPELS TEACH THAT THEY ARE EQUALS, IN SPIRITUALITY AND LOVE OF GOD INSTEAD OF FEAR AND THAT IS BOTH SUPERIOR IN SPIRITUALITY AND LOGIC.
Modern Christianity does teach morals and ethics AND WORKS REAL WELL OVERALL IF ONE IS A WHITE MIDDLE TO UPPER CLASS DUDE.
BUT NOT SO for the lesser viewed of human being from women still, to homosexuals, to even simple reproductive freedoms of the herd as whole.
Funny thing about Karma is it’s real.
Back in the days of Constantine as modern scholarly religious research does suggest, Constantine and his early Roman Catholic Cohorts made Jesus into a Warrior GOD to enforce the rule and expansion of the Roman Empire. And in doing so justified the slaughter of those who veered off the path of what those early Roman Catholics and Constantine told the masses they MUST BELIEVE OF ELSE, RANGING UP TO BURNING AT THE STAKE RESERVED FOR heretics notable or NOT.
So these folks who used the name of Christianity for control of the masses through repression and oppression of their basic human nature, specifically reproductive freedoms and subjugated others through illusory fears of stories of burning in hell eternally got their way and the rich became richer and the poor became poorer.
But the thing is the child of the ancestors of these very men sit in front of TV sets rooted as couch potatoes even forgetting the art of movement with GOD and GRAVITY instead of against GOD and GRAVITY SITTING LIKE A LEAD WEIGHT ON A COUCH with a remote control aimed at FOX OR other mindless activities to make the day go on, with additives of antI-depressants and pain killers to make a life WITHOUT GOD TOLERABLE AS TO LIVE AGAINST MOTHER NATURE TRUE IS SAME AND ONE AS LIVING AGAINST GOD TOO.
THE MOST AMAZING THING is people who KNOW AND ACT BETTER AS ONE WITH GOD STILL HAVE THE EMPATHY TO TRY TO HELP THESE LOST CHRISTIANS FIND GOD. AND TRULY IN MANY CASES THEY ARE MORE LOST THAN ATHEISTS PER TRULY KNOWING AND LOVING GOD.
THAT IS WHAT LOVE IS, UNCONDITIONAL, AND ALMOST NOTHING LIKE MODERN CHRISTIANITY STILL, AS IS, OVERALL.
AND EVEN IF ONE IS A WHITE MIDDLE CLASS DUDE, WITH ALL THE BAGGAGE ATTACHED IT STILL S88KS AFTER ALL IS SAID AND DONE ON SUNDAY, OVERALL, BUT NOT IN ALL PLACES OF COURSE, WHERE THE WORD CHRISTIANITY IS TRULY HEARD AS LOVE, TRULY UNCONDITIONAL LOVE AS IT IS THAT SIMPLE AS TRUTH.
In other words no religion or church required, and more likely a detriment, OVERALL AS SUCH, to finding, KNOWING and TRULY UNCONDITIONALLY LOVING AND LIVING WITH GOD AS ONE FORCE OF LIFE WITH ALL OTHERS TOO.
THE WORD CHRISTIANITY AND EVEN THE WORD GOD IS MORE AND MORE BECOMING AN OVERALL CULTURAL MEME OF PEJORATIVE.
IT’S TIME TO FIND ONE WORD THAT CONSUMES THE TRUTH, AND I CHOOSE LOVE TO REPLACE BOTH THE C AND G WORD AS TRUTH.
AS TRUTH AND LOVE ARE ONE AND SAME AS GOD’S EYES AS TRUTH.

In other words the emotion of faith is a very important emotion for success in life, no matter what it is connected to per complex language and human verbiage in cultural and or religious way.

YES, i think even science now is starting to finally understand through studies like the new ones per Bonobos, that genetically that is our natural way of being centered in expression AS primal WILL for Good, when unadulterated by the standard intelligence of language and culture and instead following instinct and intuition for connection toward the greater good…:)
I’ve always felt like that was the natural way to me, but perhaps it’s easier to see when others make one an outcast and one is still loved by core of family, pets, and can see that love does exist from the time one is born, in trust of love and nature as making sense in that instinctual and intuitive way of knowing trust and faith in all that is…. where no one even cares to share lies from the ‘greater’ herd down darker paths of life…..AND hope still lives….as love…..

First of all, that’s a picture of my cat up there, but somewhere along the line I lost my horns AND recently got them back. 😉
That’s kind of a joke and it’s kind of not.
The human archetype of the fool, nah, not the one they talk about in the locker room in grade school, is the trump of fool per the human who has gained one in being with KNOWING GOD and has relative free will, with TRUE POWER AND FEARLESSNESS TO VEER FROM THE social norm PER what some folks describe as fool AS pejorative.
Religion generally speaking THROUGH THE course of human history is all about the TRIBAL NORM, AND SHAMING FOLKS IN CALLING THEM FOOL, IF THEY DO NOT DO WHAT THOSE WHO SUBJUGATE THROUGH FEAR DEMAND, PER THE ULTIMATE FEAR FOR MOST PEOPLE OF BEING THE OUTCAST AND NO LONGER GAINING SUBSISTENCE, a real INSTINCTUAL FEAR for MOST FOLKS IN history past GREATER but still remaining, although technology replaces some of the reliance of dependence on the ‘tribe’ per flesh and blood direct contact with humans for SUBSISTENCE.
The ‘Perfect’ example is all the SO-CALLED FOOLS, historically speaking, who did not BELIEVE JOHN 3:16 AS LITERAL FACT AND WERE KILLED AS HERETIC FOOLS, UP TO BEING BURNED AT THE STAKE.
THE WORD FACT is a relative term, and human reason is what the Human archetype of the ‘FOOL’ Utilizing RELATIVE FREE WILL EXCELS IN.
HOWEVER, THAT’S NOT ALL, AS KNOWING GOD GOES BEYOND THE MIND OF CULTURE AND WHAT MOST PEOPLE CONSIDER FACT.
SOME SO-CALLED FACTS CAN BE considered details that describe some minor dust on the face of GOD as SCRIBED BY Science but GOD IS Tapestry and NEVER FACT ALONE.
FAITH IS KNOWING GOD, AND NEVER LIMITED BY FACT OR KNOWLEDGE.
IN MY FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE OF MOVING METAPHORICAL MOUNTAINS
I WOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO DO IT WITH FACTS ALONE
AT ALL.
OF COURSE THE REAL MAN JESUS COULD TELL YOU THAT TOO,
IF HE EVER EXISTED.
But that matters not as Truth exists and TRUTH IS GOD
WITH SPECKS OF FACTS HERE AND THERE that unfortunately as it may be as history shows
SO-CALLED FACTS CAN AND DO litter the face of GOD, too.
But in straight talk withOUT the metaphorical and mystical leanings that come natural to me now that I KNOW GOD, without so-called FACTS, ALONE, IN my opinion WHAT MOST PEOPLE in the pews of churches consider faith per just believing something the pastor said or they read in a BOOK WITHOUT TRULY KNOWING GOD per INNER KNOWING (in what CAN be described as proof) LIKE Jesus is the only Son of GOD is not faith at all and YES pejorative foolishness.
However the REASON FOLKS WILL BE TRUE PEJORATIVE FOOLS IS FOR FEAR OF NOT BEING ACCEPTED BY THEIR PEERS.
This is A BASIC HUMAN INSTINCTUAL FEAR, AGAIN, THAT PSYCHOPATHIC LEANING HEARTLESS FOLKS, IN THE CLERGY FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS NOW STILL USE TO CONTROL OTHER HUMANS THROUGH ILLUSORY FEAR, repression and oppression of their human nature, particularly reproductive freedoms.
AND MOREOVER FOR MATERIALISTIC COLLECTIVIST GAINS, INSTEAD OF the REAL HUMAN NATURE that MOST people innately DO share to SHARE WITH OTHERS AND COOPERATE IN LOVE, a FLESH AND BLOOD CONNECTING emotion, instead of COLLECTING lifeless BYPRODUCTS OF THEIR CULTURAL ENVIRONMENTS that become an artificial extension of their humanity.
KNOWING GOD IS KNOWING GOD, NOT A SECOND HAND STORY.
But there are many second hand stories that CAN PROVIDE A PATH TO KNOWING GOD, AND RARELY ARE ANY OF THESE PATHS WITHOUT FLAWS, AS FLAWS ARE WHAT MAKE TAPESTRY WHAT IT IS, TOO. 🙂
IN OTHER WORDS GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME.
ONE JUST HAS TO BE ABLE TO SEE AND KNOW THE TAPESTRY OF GOD TO GET IT.
FACTS ALONE WILL NEVER DO IT.
AND YES I HAVE THE DOCUMENTED ‘FACTS’ THAT PROVE IT.
AND THE GAME GOES ON…. WITH THE FOOL AT THE BEGINNING AND THE END OF ALL THAT IS REAL…..AT THE NUMER ZERO.

But true it is a well known FACT that misery loves company and that’s the part that makes life even more amusing for the fool as simply more inspiration for LIGHT aka muse for light.
There is no escaping God.
And sure I can go the science route with you too to prove that your statement ‘Faith without facts is for fools’ IS INcorrect, too.
Science now shows that almost all human choice is based in emotion aka faith per gut instinct instead of analytical analysis.
It is only after the fact that most decisions are made where some folks believe there is a logical instead of emotional mind that made the CHOICE.
OF COURSE it is only common sense that humans would HAVE TO BE EVOLVED THIS WAY, AS ANALYTICAL THOUGHT IS WAY TOO SLOW, TO AVOID DEATH AND DESTRUCTION IN THE REAL FIGHT AND FLIGHT WILD WORLD.
IN FACT, science shows that human beings who lose their emotions through physical injury cannot even make choices as simple as what color sock to wear paralyzed with indecision.
NOW OF COURSE IN A BIG SOCIETY THERE ARE MANY PITFALLS TO BEING EVOLVED THIS WAY, AS WE OPERATE 3000 LB KILLING MACHINES ON THE ROAD AND SUCH AS THAT, BUT MOTHER NATURE TRUE AKA GOD, WILL HAVE HER WAY.
AND NO MATTER HOW NARROW OR WIDE A MIND MAY DIMINISH OR GROW, NATURE HAS ITS WAY AND THE RIVER CONTINUES TO FLOW TO THE OCEAN.
OF COURSE UNLESS ‘IT’ GETS ALL CLOGGED UP AND ‘IT’ CAN NO LONGER ‘SEE’ BOTH WAYS TO GO. 😉
So truly when instinct, intuition AND EMOTION per THE INGREDIENTS OF FAITH GETS REPRESSED IN HUMAN BEINGS THEY ARE BASICALLY SCREWED IN THE BIG PICTURE VIEW OF MOTHER NATURE TRUE AKA GOD.
Sometimes they are screwed down to the level of making the first step in the morning past one’s color of socks.
And in some other instances extreme difficulty with executive functioning does ensue where one just buys the same color socks as an adaptation to indecision.
The GOOD NEWS is science now shows that much of this is environmental as when a person lives a life almost entirely in mechanical cognition activities rather than FEELING EMPATHIC SOCIAL COGNITION WAYS THE PATHWAY OF SOCIAL COGNITION IS REPRESSED AND IF SEVERELY NEGLECTED CAN WITHER AWAY PER USE IT OR LOSE IT.
AND YES it works the converse way as well, and this is the scientific explanation of why the OLD TIMEY PHILOSOPHERS GOT THE YIN AND YANG THINGY CORRECT.
IT JUST TOOK SCIENCE SEVERAL THOUSAND YEARS TO CATCH UP. 😉
BUT of course science doesn’t use instinct, intuition and emotion to its advantage. IT’S NOT ALLOWED TO.
Truly this is a severe handicap of science to understand FULL HUMAN NATURE. AND EVEN THE REST OF NATURE TOO.
AND AMUSINGLY AND IRONICALLY A MICROCOSM OF OVERALL (MACROCOSM) TRUTH, TOO, IRONIC AS IT OFTEN IS, WHEN IT ALL COMES OUT.
